DAO Overview

Emerald City is the first DAO on Flow Blockchain focused on developing future tooling for all Flow DAOs
The DAO consists of three working group “Guilds” for governance, education, and building
The governance guild creates best practices for DAOs – starting with Emerald City but applicable to all others
The education guild provides resources (like Emerald Academy) and support for new Flow projects and users
The building guild creates tools and products for Flow

Notable Developments

Meta’s Instagram integrated Flow blockchain on 8/4/2022, enabling select users to display their NFTs
Flow Blockchain powers popular platforms such as NBA Top Shot and NFL ALL DAY
Emerald City’s building guild has created flagship products for Flow, including FLOAT and Emerald ID
FLOAT and Emerald ID are Flow’s de facto proof-of-attendance platform and Discord token verifier

Implications

Flow Blockchain is a fast, decentralized, scalable blockchain designed for Web3 apps building the open metaverse
Flow pioneered a scaling solution with a multi-node architecture that improves on the concept of sharding
